Baptisia bracteata or Baptisia leucophaea (Cream Wild Indigo)
This plant has a unique growth habit in the native world. The low-rider of the Wild Indigos, its flowering spikes have a horizontal drive more than vertical. These shooting spikes have creamy white pea-like flowers that are rather striking. When you find this plant in nature in it is really special. You are either looking at a remnant dry prairie or an extremely nice prairie recreation. Either seeing this plant in nature or in a landscape setting is truly special.
