Juncus interior (Inland Rush)
Juncus interior (Inland Rush) is a rush that can be commonly found in wetlands in the Midwest. At about 2 feet high blooms in summer with loose clusters of brown seed atop green foliage. Inland Rush is a food source for insects and some moths as well as occasional birds and wildlife. It also provides unique habitat for shoreline bird species.
