Solidago flexicaulis (ZigZag Goldenrod)

This is short to medium perennial woodland plant that is named from its "zig-zag" flower stalk.  It has intensely colored small yellow flowers that can attract the later pollinators and add later season interest. Given time this plant can create dense colonies making a great flowering medium height groundcover.
