Spiraea alba (Meadowsweet)

A showy native bush that is often mistaken for a flower because is is only about 4' tall and not robust like a shrub.  Spirea prefers full sun, wet to moist conditions, and soil containing abundant organic material. Standing water such as in a rain garden is fine if temporary.
