Symphyotrichum sericeum (Silky Aster)

Symphyotrichum sericeum (Silky Aster) is a truly beautiful aster, with attractive flowers, beautiful foliage, and a nice compact height. It prefers full sun and dry rocky conditions, but can also perform well in nor soils as well. It is a little slow to establish but is well worth the wait. This plant seems to be in decline in the Midwest so it's conservation need is increasing.
