By: N. P. Snyder Ground water from the principal unconsolidated basin-fill aquifer system is the most important source of agricultural and culinary water in the Sevier Desert. Recharge and discharge areas for the principal aquifer system were mapped to aid in management of potential contaminant sources to help protect ground-water quality. The purpose of this study is to help state and local government officials and local residents protect ground-water quality in the Sevier Desert by defining recharge areas where ground-water aquifers are vulnerable to contamination.
