It is one of the top three formulations used in the modern Japanese Kampo system of herbalism. It is an excellent immune system tonic and is excellent at establishing and maintaining immune system balance. This formula is especially famous for strengthening resistance. Our formulation is standardized to a strong amount of baicalin, the main bio-active component in the herb Scutellaria, which makes the formula more active — and therefore the formula is “activated.” It is stronger than most versions of this formula sold in the U.S., but is identical to most versions produced and consumed in Japan.
