Shelf life of dried chanterelles: 2 years and 24 monthsStorage: Store in a cool dry place out of direct sunlight.   Chanterelles (Cantharellus Cibarius) are relatively uncommon funnel-shaped mushrooms. They are slightly similar to Horns of Plenty, but are smaller, brownish-gray rather than black, and have compressed stems. They are an uncultivated mushroom highly sought after for their soft texture and flavor. They grow in clusters under broadleaf trees and are hard to find among deciduous clumps. Chanterelles are found in coniferous and broad-leaved forests in boreal climates. Chanterelles are delicious mushrooms that make a great addition to a range of dishes. Sun-dried immediately after harvesting, our chanterelles retain all their flavor so they can be stored for a long time. Just rehydrate for about an hour to restore the look and flavor of fresh mushrooms, then cook as you like! Chanterelles can be sliced and sautéed with butter and garlic, or served with pasta or veal.
