In other words, it prevents bacteria from reproducing as opposed to killing it directly. However, it has demonstrated activity against gram negative bacteria. First, dose with AquaLife Complete Water Conditioner. Add 1/4 teaspoon per 20 gallons. Repeat in 24 hours. It is suggested that a partial water change be made between treatments. Duration of treatment depends on the type and severity of the infection. It is recommended that extended baths in this medication continue for a minimum period of 5 days and not more than 10.
