It is designed to be post mounted and works well with the 5 Piece Feeder Pole Set with Twist In Ground Socket. If squirrels or raccoons raid your feeders, we suggest pole mounting with a squirrel or raccoon baffle mounted so that the baffle top is at least 4-4.5' above the ground and the setup is located 10' from any launching points.
