The Italian American futurist artist Joseph Stella painted nature in poetic and vibrant colors.Giuseppe Michele Stella was born in a mountain village near Naples, Italy, in 1877. At 18, he arrived at Ellis Island and took the English version of his name, Joseph Stella.
