ANDES: 1939 - Cruise brochure for 1961 w/ deck plans & interiors

Royal Mail Lines:  A fold-out (27" by 29") deck plan for ANDES cruises out of Southampton for the second half of 1961.  The covers show gorgeous day and nighttime paintings of the ship.  Where have all the great ship painters gone?   One side shows eight decks worth of plans, from Sports down to A.  Royal Mail named their decks in the reverse order from most lines, so Boat Deck is "G", Upper Promenade "F", and so on.  Detailed rates are in pounds.   The flip side contains a route map, itineraries, and more to the point - ship pics.  Big color views include the Warwick Room, Atlantis Restaurant, Lido Cocktail Lounge, Swimming Pool, Galleon Grill, Ocean Theatre, and three cabins.  A note on the artwork - there are four different vignettes featuring the ANDES.  Royal Mail was well-known for its colorful Kenneth Shoesmith graphics in the 'tween-war era and these images carry forth that tradition.  Good condition.
