Compania Trasatlantica Espanola (Spanish Line): From 1962, a fold-out (16" by 18") brochure for the sisters COVADONGA and GUADALUPE. The brochure opens to four b&w photos showing an unidentified cocktail bar, swimming pool, lounge, and cabin. On back is a portrait of one of sisters showing off classic, mid-century combo-ship beauty. Also on back are rates. Fully open, plans show four decks with color-coding for First and Tourist classes. The cabins on Promenade Deck had private balconies, a feature that would not catch on until the 1990s. The Spanish Line, using the company's English name, sailed from Spain to New York and Central America. Both ships were sent to the wreckers in 1973. Very good condition.
