ELLINIS: 1932 - British market brochure w/ plans & interiors

Chandris Line: An English market interiors brochure for the ELLINIS, Chandris' popular immigrant ship converted from Matson's old LURLINE. This twenty-four page brochure from 1969 emphasizes the sun and fun side of the long voyage. Chandris sailed the ELLINIS to Australia and New Zealand via the Suez Canal and Indian Ocean, but returned via the Pacific and Panama Canal. Besides the dramatic cover photo, the entire center spread is another off-kilter aerial of the ship, making her look fast but perhaps a little unstable. The full color brochure shows views of public rooms, the swimming pool, and fifteen different cabin types. In back are nine decks of plans. Excellent condition.
