P&O Line: A souvenir biscuit dish featuring an attached P&O medallion with R.M.S. MALOJA in a flowing banner underneath the houseflag. The dish stands 2" tall with a diameter of 5.5". The pierced bowl makes for a festive appearance, guaranteed to enliven any grandmother's tea.The MALOJA and sister MOOLTAN were the first P&O liners to exceed 20,000 tons and designed to be the largest ships capable of traversing the Suez Canal. Both served as troopships during WW2 and returned to service afterwards. They were scrapped in 1954.Very good condition.
