MAURETANIA: 1907 - Cruise plan from 1931 showing Second Class

Cunard Line: A 27" by 28" cruise plan from 1931 showing "Supplementary Plan of Accommodations aboard the MAURETANIA.  The plan shows five decks on the stern. Not coincidentally, the plan covers exactly the same territory shown in earlier Second Cabin plans. Soon it would be renamed Tourist Third Class to attract bargain hunters. Here it promotes three "week-end" cruises" with all the amenities of First Class except for the nice cabin. If you shared a windowless cabin for four down on D Deck you'd only have to fork over fifty of your hard-earned Depression dollars, or the equivalent of a grand today. Fair-to-good condition with tears around the edges.
