MERIDIAN: 1963 - Dramatic aerial agency poster

Celebrity Cruises: A dramatic view of Celebrity's very first ship, the MERIDIAN. The rebuilt GALILEO GALILEI from Lloyd Triestino opened Chandris' new upscale division in 1990. This travel agency poster (19.5" by 33") shows off the changes made by Celebrity such as the extended Promenade Deck rooms extending out into the bow area and the added decks onto the stern. The retrofit didn't help her looks but certainly helped make the MERIDIAN into a success. In 1997 the ship was sold to Sun Cruises to become the SUN VISTA. Sadly, she sank in 1999 after an onboard fire. Good condition with wrinkling along the edges and a few tears.
