Ship History: "Die Geschichte der deutschen Passagierschiffahrt" ("The Story of German Passenger Ships") volumes 1-5 by Arnold Kludas, published 1986 to 1990, hardbound with dust jackets, approximately 230 pages per book, German text.  Kludas is one of the top passenger ship historians of all time. While many of his books have been translated into English, this German series is not one of them. The photo-filled books cover the arc of German passenger ships with volume 1 covering 1850-1890, volume 2  1890-1900, volume 3 1900-1914, volume 4 1914-1930, and volume 5 1930-1990.  Even if you can't read German, the thousands of b&w and color photographs will guide you through 140 years of German advancements in passenger liners. Very good condition.
