Chandris Line: A large (6.5" diameter) ceramic ashtray in a lovely blue glaze from Chandris.This style was used onboard as can be seen in the attached photo showing the lounge of the BRITANIS. The famous "X" houseflag appears in the bowl. The "X" represents the Greek letter for "Ch" and the symbol survives to this day with its prominent appearance on Celebrity cruise ships. The ashtray is bottom-marked Thomas, Germany.Excellent condition.
