Epipedobates anthonyi “Santa Isabel”

A very bold and prolific Dart Frog, Santa Isabel can be kept in groups, and in time will form a peaceful colony. Young froglet’s red coloration gets more intense, changing from a brick-red to a more vibrant red as the frog ages. Males have a relatively loud call, and will guard their clutch of eggs after mating with a female. Upon hatching the male will transport his tadpoles to a body of water for them to grow and develop. The tadpoles can be raised communally.
