The differences are mainly cosmetic. The gunmetal ball chain is made from steel and coated with a scratch resistant pigment for a matte gunmetal finish. The stainless steel chain is slightly darker and duller than the nickel plated steel chain. The aluminum chain is lighter than the steel options, and is also a noticeably brighter silver color.
