Tonsui, Sauce Bowl - Namako Tenmoku

Tonsui, Sauce Bowl - Approximately 5 x 4.5 inches. Namako Tenmoku Japanese Stoneware. Japanese ceramic artists, using techniques handed down through the centuries, create these unusual and uniquely Japanese pieces. A multi-process glazing gives a beautiful translucent finish to the deep blue, and a textured "volcanic rock" finish to the charcoal colored areas on each piece. Also shown with three-piece set.  Made in Japan.
