The Cisco Nexus 9500 linecard, 36p 40G QSFP aggregation linecard is part of the Cisco family which provides the broadest line of solutions for transporting data, voice and video while ensuring that networks both public and private operate with maximum performance, security, and flexibility. The N9K-X9636PQ has three network forwarding engines for packet forwarding, each supporting 12 40GE front panel ports and 12 internal ports to the fabric modules (clocked at 42 Gbps rate to accommodate the internal frame overhead). It provides 36 40GE QSFP front panel ports, all of which support the 4x 10GE break-out mode to operate as 4 individual 10GE ports.
