Two people inspired this print, Tupac, and Barbara Kruger.  Barbara Krugers, "Your Body Is A Battleground"  The positive and negative split of a woman's face with the bold type running across it has always resonated with me. I channeled that sentiment in this piece. Women's rights have been a topic of conversation ever since the trump administration took office. The fact that in 2018 women are still fighting for equal rights and men are still trying to tell them what they can and can't do with their bodies is disheartening. An excerpt from Tupac's song "Keep Ya Head Up" is the second inspiration for this piece.  "When brothas make babies and leave a young mother to be a pappy And since we all came from a womanGot our name from a woman and our game from a womanI wonder why we take from our womenWhy we rape our women, do we hate our women?I think it's time to kill for our womenTime to heal our women, be real to our womenAnd if we don't we'll have a race of babiesThat will hate the ladies
