This year has been one for the books. It has tested all of us and shown ourselves how resilient we can be. I wanted to create an image that invokes hope after such a tumultuous year. The inspiration behind this piece is the concept of the Phoenix rising from the ashes. My favorite band Thrice, has a song that I feel perfectly captures the concept of rising above adversity.
