This very rare 1985 sampler CD is one of the earliest know promotional CD's ever released, and may be the first appearance of Madonna on a promotional disc. This "target" CD (thusly named due to the target design on the CD itself) was manufactured in Japan before there were any CD pressing plants running in the U.S., making this one of the earliest CD's ever made. Many audiophiles prefer the "flat transfer" mastering of these early pressings because they sound closer to original LP's they grew up listening to.
