Our Apple Dog Biscuits are baked fresh in our own New England "Micro-barkery" using all natural, human-grade ingredients, including real apples and applesauce. They are wheat, corn and soy free. Apples are a natural source of Vitamins A and C and dietary fiber. They are also low in sodium and saturated fat, and contain calcium and phosphorous. In addition, they have omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, which healthy skin and a shiny coat. Apples are good sources of malic acid as well. Malic acid provides many benefits to dogs, including: helping to maintain oral hygiene by stimulating the production of saliva; acting as an antiseptic that reduces bad breath and infection-causing bacteria; converting fat, carbohydrates and proteins into water and energy; strengthening the heart, muscles and immune system; promoting the efficient absorption of minerals; and combining with the toxins in a dog’s body to make them inactive to be excreted easily.
