The pocket can be closed securely with two parallel leather straps and provides ample space for all straight razors in the usual sizes between 4/8" and 7/8". Please note that it is recommended to protect a non-stainless carbon steel blade (e.g. with an additional wrapping using oil paper) to prevent direct contact with the leather and the tanning acid in the material, which could cause corrosion on the blade.
