Silver Grove Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey (2024)

For the 2024 edition of Silver Grove Bourbon, we explored how whiskeys age, with barrels coming from the top two floors of our five story rickhouse in Newport, Kentucky.  Aging in the hottest part of the warehouse led to powerful flavors and a somewhat elevated proof of 116.4. As with all New Riff spirits, Silver Grove Bourbon is bottled without chill filtration. Proof 116.4 Mashbill 95% Rye 5% Malted Rye Nose: Plump, oily rye grains, huge mint, black pepper, with hints of citrus, caraway and oak. Taste: Up front cinnamon spiciness, hint of vanilla and singed toffee. Delightfully aggressive, complex oak and rye flavors.
