Great Expectations

A Dickens Classic Set in England during the middle of the 19th century, the story follows Philip Pirrip, “Pip” for short, a young orphan. Surrounding Pip are a colorful cast of characters who create some of Dickens' most memorable scenes. Themes explored in the book include wealth & poverty, love & rejection, and the eventual triumph of good over evil. First published in 1861 in England unillustrated, this edition is derived from the American edition published the same year with 34 black and white illustrations by John McLenan. As always, this edition is complete and unabridged.
