Or, The Parish Boy's Progress Orphan Oliver Twist, born in a workhouse and sold into apprenticeship with an undertaker. After escaping, Oliver travels to London where he meets the “Artful Dodger” and is introduced to Fagin, the elderly leader of a gang of juvenile pickpockets. Charles Dickens second novel, originally serialized in monthly installments from 1837 to 1839. This edition is derived from the original series with 24 illustrations by George Cruikshank.  As always, this edition is complete and unabridged.
