Ruth describes the daily life of the colonists in great detail. Topics include home life, work life, schooling, births, deaths, religion, crimes, and punishments experienced by the colonists. The book is a great introduction to early New England colonial life for young readers. First published in 1910, this edition is derived from the  original book with 72 black and white illustrations.  As always, this edition is complete and unabridged.
