This is an original aquatint lithograph view of the Wells and Clark Street Bridges across the Chicago River in 1929, signed by Raoul Varin and numbered 85 of 125. These prints were later produced in greater numbers for the Century of Progress World's Fair, but none of those reprints were signed or numbered.by Raoul Varin. Looking west along the Chicago River, the Chicago Tobacco Works and the Western Transportation Co. are shown in the foreground.  Boats of various sizes line the river and the courthouse is visible over the tops of the buildings.  Several church steeples are also shown in the print.
