A large and beautiful mid-century schoolhouse wall map of British Columbia focusing on elevation changes from the Pacific Coast into Central Alberta. Cities, and small towns are noted with various markers indicating their population, lakes and rivers are also labeled throughout the map. One inset in the lower left depicts the "Lower Mainland Region," near Vancouver. Another inset in the top right outlines the "Physical Divisions of British Columbia," naming each mountain range, plateau, foothills and plains regions. At the very top of the map is an "East West Profile along Parallel 50 degree North Latutude," that brings into perspective the continual elevation changes of British Columbia from sea level to over 9,000 feet.
