This map depicts Paris Posts in the northern kingdoms of Paris of the late seventeenth century, focusing on Sweden, Denmark, Poland, Germany, part of Norway and Finland and the XVII Provinces of the Netherlands, and including neighbors to the south and east of these countries, such as Hungary, Transylvania, Moldavia, and the various Russian principalities of the day, extending as far to the northeast as Lake Ladoga. A small area of eastern England including London is included. All routes, including sea routes leading to Paris from various parts of these kingdoms are drawn. The purpose of the map was to ‘serve business intelligence crowns’ of the entire region. The entire map is highly detailed showing cities, towns and villages along with all geographical and topographical details.
