We’ve never tried a salsify before. We’ve heard they’re good but we haven’t taken the plunge just yet. For those of you who don’t already know, a salsify is winter vegetable, purple in color, that has the consistency of a turnip and a distinctly oyster-like flavoring. Yes, folks. According to it, the salsify tastes more like artichoke hearts than anything else.
