This swivel Pemco 5"x2" phenolic wheel caster with positive locking side brake (protected within leg and featuring thermoplastic brake grip) offers a low profile and economical USA made wheel solution for heavier equipment or cart applications. This popular line is competitively priced and features: 1/4" thick steel construction, 4"x4.5" top plate, dual ball bearing raceways for smooth swiveling, RoHS compliant zinc plating for corrosion resistance, and a one-year warranty. Phenolic caster wheels are a long time trusted solution due to their strength and economical price point (cheaper than steel wheels and offering similar capacities). Phenolic wheels are hard (90D hardness), making them easy to roll, and provide excellent durability when moving or supporting heavier loads. However, this hardness does not provide best-in-class floor protection, debris rejection, or quiet operation vs. other high-capacity wheels. If you need the higher capacity and want greater floor protection or noise reduction, we encourage you to explore polyurethane caster wheels.
