This made in USA heavy duty rigid 8" x 3" phenolic wheel caster offers an economical wheel solution for high capacity and durability, making it ideal for heavy loads in industrial environments. The rigid fork legs are constructed from high quality, heat-treated 3/8" thick AISI 1045 laser-cut steel and fully welded (inside and outside) to the 5/16" thick top plate, delivering superior strength in rugged applications. Phenolic caster wheels are a long time trusted solution due to their strength and economical price point (cheaper than steel wheels and offering similar capacities). Phenolic wheels are hard (90D hardness), making them easy to roll, and they provide excellent durability when moving or supporting heavier loads (will not flat spot). However, this hardness does not provide best-in-class floor protection, debris rejection, or quiet operation vs. other high-capacity wheels.
