Iridium Beam Antenna RST740 Features When an installation surpasses 20 meters / 60 feet, it is more cost effective to employ an Active/Powered Iridium antenna, which allows for much thinner and less expensive cable to be stretched up to 100 meters / 300 feet, which would not be possible with a passive Iridium antenna. The Iridium Beam Active Antenna RST740 works with all Beam products and Iridium devices, but it requires the use of an approved Beam Active Antenna cable to handle power amplification through the RF line to the antenna.
