Nflightcam Metal Cage for GoPro Hero5, Hero6, Hero7

If you plan to exceed 150 KIAS or use our certified mounting options, this cage is a must. Designed for high-speed and high-impact environments where failure is not an option, this cage is machined from aircraft-grade aluminum with mil-spec anodization to endure the harshest environments. It replaces the plastic frame that comes standard with the GoPro. Please note: This metal cage is recommended for GoPro Hero5, 6, and 7, because those models come with a plastic case in order to mount to 3-finger adapters, such as the adapter atop our NFlightCam Exterior Ball-Head Mount, pictured here. Plastic is prone to crack in high speeds and low temperatures, like those found in flight, so a metal cage is a recommended replacement. However, the GoPro Hero8, 9, and 10 do not require a case, because they have sturdy composite fingers built into the bottom of those camera models. COMPATIBLE WITH:  GoPro Hero5, Hero6, and Hero7.
