A beautiful pair of French Art Deco wall sconces around 1935 by the famous Paris based lighting company Maison Petitot. Polished solid brass mounts hold plume shaped slip shades in molded-pressed glass. The shades have a frosted structured surface on the inside giving them a vivid appearance. On the outside the glass is high-lighted with gold paint. The shades are marked EZAN FRANCE. Ezan for the large glass manufactory of Jean Gauthier in the town of Ezanville a little north from Paris. In the 30s it became well known for its glassware in bluish opalescent semi-crystal like we can often see on Charles Ranc or Hubert Petitot chandeliers of the mid-thirties. Both fixtures are stamped / marked PETITOT 2023 on the inside. France, 20th century       MEASUREMENTS:               12'' H x 5" W x 3.75" D
