Still Life Painting Naive 1950s Smoking Cigarette with Liquor Bottles and Dogeared Readers Digest and Masonic Symbols

This naive painting is set on broad plains colored in deepest blue and blood red, while the objects are covered in recognizable iconography: from the dog-eared ‘Readers Digest’ to the cigarettes to the liquor and soda bottle to the Masonic shot glass.  Interesting technical choices as well — the smoke from the cigarette is actually absence of color in the background.  This is naive at its best.  Measures 14.5” T x 14.25” W.
