Largemouth Bass, Micropterus salmoides The most popular gamefish in America, you can't go wrong with the Largemouth. Chasing these bucket mouths down is a great excuse for young and old to get outdoors.  This is a painting of an 14.83 lb giant caught in Texas.  The painting will be featured on the cover of the March 2024 Texas Parks & Wildlife magazine.  "Sharelunker" is the term given to these Texas bass that are over 24" or 8 lbs.  This tank was 25.5."  Texas P&W has been working on a project to share the lunker DNA in different bodies of water to increase the chances of catching such giant bass across the state.
