Moroccan Candlestick Holder

Rustic Moroccan ceramic candlestick holder, glazed in the eye catching green hue traditional to the Tamegroute region of Morocco.  The rich mottled green color, so immediately recognizable of the area, gains its intoxicating color from a traditional glaze high in manganese, silica, cobalt and copper. When mixed with the smoke of wood fired kilns, the result is a very rustic yet enchanting piece. Sold individually. Due to the handmade nature of each item, color and size may vary. Some pieces may have unglazed portions, especially near the bottom. This style is typical of this type of pottery and we find it a pleasant reminder of the maker's hand and deep tradition of the region. Handmade in Morocco
