A familiar, known as a ‘fylgja’ in old Norse, is an animal that shows up to accompany and guide you from birth to death. They will usually first show up in your dreams, meditation or during your magical workings. Once you have bonded with your familiar, they will be with you for life, always by your side. Your Fylgja will usually connect to or represent an aspect of your soul or human self, which creates an air of familiarity and connection. You will recognise aspects of yourself in them. These horses all came to Chloe at a time when she needed them. Within a matter of weeks, every day a new energy and essence flew through her and onto the canvas. The herd come to those who need them, to offer the magic of the group and the individual. Each horse has its own signature, offering, and code.
