For this design, we focused on the workwear details that add durability and functionality to the garment. Triple stitching on the shoulders, back, and side seams and the bar-tacked reinforced pockets add unparalleled strength to this men’s shirt. The discreet and easily accessible pen pocket gives The Brace a nice utilitarian detail. The chainstitch runoff found on the side gussets is an interesting detail and a nod to vintage shirts. Early workwear shirts were made with authentic high-quality sewing machines that produced this run-off effect when finished.
