In the 1750s, the Echeverría’s moved from the Basque region in Spain to Chile. The family has owned their current estate, which was planted by the current winemaker's grandfather, for the last century. This grandfather planted ungrafted vines from pre-phylloxera French origin on an expanse of land called La Estancia, in a little town called Molina and began using French wine making techniques in Chile, which still influence Echeverría’s wines today. Chief Winemaker Roberto Echeverría, works alongside his four children to run the estate today.
