This mango wood is reclaimed from trees that have quit producing mangos. These trees have been cut down by farmers to be replaced with new trees. Repurposing the wood prevents the cut trees from being burned and provides farmers with an eco-friendly disposal method. And if you ever need to dispose of the mango wood ring for any reason, it’s wood, so you can compost it or repurpose it in the garden.  CARE The removable stainless steel insert is dishwasher safe and the mango wood can be cleaned by hand.
