4 in 1 Teec Nos Pos Pictorial : GHT 187 : 64" x 90" : (5'4" x 7'6")

Four Corners Navajo Rug.  Steve cherished this one for a very long time.   In the 4 in 1 Navajo rug each panel is woven with a specific style. Two panels are Pictorials, one panel is a Red Mesa and the final panel is a Teec Nos Pos.  This is a truly fine example of many styles coming together to create one impressive rug. The Graden Mercantile Company letter is provenance for this Navajo Textile.  Though the letter is not signed or dated, but the letter head states R. E. Sloan (b. 1886 d. 1948) was president of the Mercantile. 4 Navajo sisters from the 4 corners area are said to be the weavers.  It's obvious they shared the wool as all panels have some of each color.  The green and lighter orange are natural dyes.   You will not see another like this one any time soon!
