Navajo : Twill Double Saddle Blanket : SG 43 : 32" x 48" (2'8" x 4")

Hand carded, hand spun native wool and aniline dyed Navajo rug, circa 1970's.  From the Selina Springs area.   Twill patterns are often used for saddle blankets because there is more wool per area than on traditional patterns. It's a difficult style to learn and takes many years to master it.   Vibrant colors, extra thick weave would be suitable for a wall hanging, floor rug, under a table or under a saddle!
